I love mystery and suspense books, but I sometimes take a break from that looking for a light-hearted, fun read and this book exceeded my expectations. I could relate to Mary- being a teacher, wanting no complications in life, but open to some fun even though she didn't want to admit it. Who can resist Ethan...Mary certainly tries. And Ethan, well, he's not used to a girl who doesn't fall for him. As shallow as his relationships have been in the past, he realizes Mary truly has depth and he falls for her.

This is a delightful book, in which I found myself laughing out loud many times. This was the first book I've read by Holly Jacobs, and definitely not my last! I'm going to purchase book 2 in this series now!

it was funny and a good story
Terrific series . So enjoyable.
I have just finished this story and I absolutely LOVE it, so imagine being in this truck on show for everyone to see you in a car sales showroom and not being able to walk away unless you forfeit your chance to own this BIG RED truck, What would you do?
I enjoyed the book, it was an easy read with a different storyline. I loved the twist she put in on how the contest ended. Only thing negative was there were some spelling errors and she put conflicting things in there once or twice; ie. which team he had season tickets for. Overall good book!! I'm ready for the next one.
A very nice romance with a great "meet cute". Very sweet clean romance.

Putting opposites together is always fun and this story is a fun light romantic read.
This story was read in two days. It's a classic standoff, male/female with the prize being a new truck. You feel the exasperation of both of the contestants and they think up ingenious ways to make the other quit.

This is the first Holly Jacobs story I purchased and recommend it for light reading!
I purchased Pickup Lines out of curiousity. I enjoyed reading it . It was the type of story you can't put down. It was interesting to see how their attraction grew for each other. I was piqued by the exchanges between the radio Djs. Almost like the puppet show Punch and Judy. The story is about two different people from different backgrounds but similar in that they each have one parent that's alive and overbearing in different ways. The female character was raised by a free spirited mother. The daughter just wanted to be normal so she shunned her free spirited lifestyle that she was raised in for a more straitlaced one. But in the end the pharmacist son and the teacher ended up caring for each other as well as the single parents . A good read all around . I'll probably read the other books in the series.
